Today I was setting up a new dev machine on Azure and I used Chocolatey to get and install a bunch of the common tools I use on a typical development machine. The script I used is below if anyone wants to try it.
@powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy unrestricted -Command "iex ((new-object net.webclient).DownloadString('https://chocolatey.org/install.ps1'))" && SET PATH=%PATH%;%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\chocolatey\bin choco install winmerge choco install 7zip choco install fiddler4 choco install linqpad4 choco install logparser choco install logparserstudio choco install wireshark choco install sysinternals choco install treesizefree choco install smartftp choco install filezilla choco install resharper choco install dotpeek choco install dottrace choco install dotcover choco install notepadplusplus choco install azurestorageexplorer choco install cloudberryexplorer.azurestorage pause
This got me thinking that we should as a community put together a set of widgets in Chocolatey to help setup out machines for BizTalk development. If anyone has any ideas of what else we should use pop a comment on this post and ill see if we can extend the script to the things we need.
